Japan Airlines enables Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMD)

On the 22nd February Japan Airlines will become the latest carrier in our market to enable the issuance of Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMD) in the UK.

For more general information relating to EMD please see the previous blog post dated 25 May .

Japan Airlines will join the likes of Alitalia (AZ), Air Berlin (AB), Air Europa (UX), British Airways (BA), Finnair (AY) and Montenegro Airlines (YM) who already form the core of the current EMD ‘community’ in the UK.

I would like to draw your attention to the Ticket Amendment Fee section of the Agent Bulletin, which has specific information from the airline as to how they require the EMD number for a Ticket Amendment Fee to be included in the endorsement field of the resulting reissued eticket.
