Cobalt Air (CO) is now available on Amadeus

Amadeus are pleased to announce that Cobalt Air are the newest carrier to offer their air content through the Amadeus GDS with the content being available from Monday 2nd July.

Airline Overview
Cobalt Air operates under the carrier code of ‘CO’ and has its main hub in Larnaca, Cyprus.
The company was recognised as the Best Start-up airline of the Year in the world 2017 by CAPA – The Centre for Aviation whilst it is also a member of The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and has a full International Aviation Services Organization (IOSA) accreditation.

Agent Commission and an introduction from Cobalt
As part of its launch on Amadeus, Cobalt Air will offer all UK agents a commission of 1% on all ticketed PNRs made between the 2nd July to the 30th September 2018 for travel on any date on any route.

Product Overview
Depending on the route, Cobalt Air offers either a single class or two class service with both a seat only Economy product and a full service Business product on its flights.
Business class is currently offered on all Heathrow and Gatwick flights and features a dedicated check-in area, fast track security, executive lounge access, priority boarding and disembarkation, priority baggage delivery, a “dine on demand” meals service and complimentary beverages.
The Business class seat pitch is 40 inches whilst seat pitch in economy is up to 31 inches.
The Business cabin is composed of 12 business seats in a preferred 2×2 configuration, whilst the economy cabin has 144 economy class seats in a standard 3×3 configuration.

UK Routes and Wider Network
Cobalt Air currently serves 21 destinations and 12 countries from its home in Cyprus.
Importantly for the UK market its summer 2018 schedule has 20 weekly flights to the UK as outlined below;

The winter 2018 and summer 2019 schedule will be operated on a similar frequency. Please note that the summer 2019 schedule and availability is currently being loaded on Amadeus.

In addition to the point to point flights Cobalt is also a network carrier offering connecting services through Cyprus to such destinations as Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Mykonos and Tel Aviv.

Fares, Ancillary Services and BSP
Initially Cobalt will offer up to 7 types of fares – Business Flexible, Business Semi-Flexible, Business Restricted, Economy Flexible, Economy Semi-Flexible, Economy restricted and Economy Student.

Initially the offering will be made available as Published fares but Net Seat Only and Inclusive Tour fares are planned to be offered shortly.
Ancillary services are currently not available on Cobalt Air through Amadeus. However, this is being addressed and will be made available as soon as possible.
Cobalt Air is a full ticketing carrier (as opposed to Light Ticketing) on Amadeus and is also available on BSP for the UK market.

Amadeus Commands
Cobalt Air is available for Amadeus Selling Platform Classic, Amadeus Selling Platform Connect and Amadeus Web Service users.
For Classic and Connect users the standard cryptic fare quote, availability, pricing and other commands can be used as normal in conjunction with the Cobalt Air carrier code of ‘CO’.
