Winter flight schedule – Germanwings(4U) flights to be marketed under Eurowings (EW) flight number

Published on: Sep 06 2017 by Stuart Oxby

This is to inform you that since the 30th August, for the 2017/2018 winter flight schedule, some Germanwings flights have had their marketing carrier code changed from 4U to EW (The flight number will remain the same).

Two flights CGN-NBE v.v. on the 1st of November are excluded from the change and will continue to have 4U as the marketing carrier code.

The change will be processed in two parts with the first part having already happened on the 30th August and the second set of changes scheduled for the 13th September.

The stored booking contact for affected bookings will automatically be informed by email about the designator change.

Regarding PNR post issuance exchanges and stand-alone service addition – Travel agents will need to perform the changes on or via the Eurowings call center, as post issuance processes via Amadeus on the affected PNRs will not be successful.

For any questions you may have, please feel free to contact your Amadeus Account Managers.
